Exhibition: ”A Cartographic History of Old Oil Sites in Prahova County"
As every year, the National Oil Museum organized a special event dedicated to the Oilman's Day. The exhibition "A Cartographic History of Old Oil Sites in Prahova County" is part of the project "Donors, friends of the museum" and it represents the opportunity to show the importance and beauty of the richest oil area - Queen Prahova - in developing our oil industry.
Open throughout September, the exhibition presented scientific books and papers, geological maps with impact on Prahova oil production units. The exhibition, opened on September 14th 2015, had as main topic the 70 exceptional postcards donated by PhD. Walter Hamilton, as SVP Exploration OMV, who was the guest of honor of the museum. Together with him, the opening was attended also by colleagues and friends of the museum.
Carmen Nasse, a violinist within the Philharmonic in Ploieşti, completed this exceptional evening, the event being held both in the courtyard of the museum and into a recently rehabilitated unique space.
