Reduced tickets

Pupils under 12 and students benefit from a 50% reduction

  • The museum is closed on Mondays.
  • Access is allowed by 4:30 p.m.

Director of The Museum

The Museum, through its extensive collection, varied exhibitions, and bilingual public programs, publications, educational activities and special events, educates its varied publics in the richness Romanian history and culture. By presenting the oil heritage, the museum is addressing all people interested in this unique history, specialists, students, children, trying to create the next generation of museum goers, while satisfying the growing interest in Romanian oil history.

Gabriela Tanasescu

Director Of The Museum
Gabriela Tanasescu has 10 years of experience as Diplomat Engineer in Petroleum Drilling and Production and 20 years as Museographer/ Director of National Oil Museum. She is involved in educational programs of European level for personnel and patrimony management and has strong professional network. She coordinates the scientific work in order to enrich the patrimony exhibition, has publishing activity and organizing cultural events for museum popularization. Works in close collaboration with the people and communities from which its collections derived, other museums, foundations, schools and universities, oil companies, central and local authorities, ministries.
